Debuting this fall, A&S Wired, in Keeneland Hall, will house approximately 200 freshmen in a unique interactive space that combines education and residence life.

A reception to welcome new people and a chance to get to know fellow English Department citizens--faculty, FTLs, TAs, graduate students, and staff in ENG, WRD, LIN, etc.
--Monday September 19th & Tuesday September 20th--
Jeffrey Wasserstrom will being visiting students in the classrooms. On Monday there will be a lunch from 12:00P.M. - 1:30 P.M.in Room 206 of the Student Center, followed by a dinner with faculty and community members at 6:30P.M. in the Boone Center.
--Wednesday September 21st - noon - 3:00P.M. Student Center Patio--
There will be a cooking demonstration hosted by UK Catering Chef Scott Kohn, as well as booths highlighting programs and initiatives from several areas of UK's campus, such as the Asia Center, UK Libraries, and Education Abroad.
Student studies abroad as part of A&S initiative
Cristina Alcalde is one of the three faculty co-directors for A&S Wired, a new residential college at UK. A&S Wired starts in the Fall of 2011, and aims to integrate social and intellectual lives of first-year students. She is excited about being involved – and thinks the students will be too. Listen to what she believes this initiative will provide.
