Daniel Anderson
Graduate Student

After teaching English in Cuernavaca, Mexico at the Universidad Internacional for four years, I enrolled in the Hispanic Studies Department at the University of Kentucky to pursue a PhD in 20/21st-Century Latin American Literature and Culture.

My current research examines the intersection of politics and cinema in 20th-century Latin America.  I am particularly interested in the films of Cuban director Tomás Gutiérrez Alea.  Investigation and teaching experience in the area of 20th-century Spanish film allows me to bring a Transatlantic aspect to my work.
