Research

My research focuses on French romances (Arthurian in particular) from the twelfth, thirteenth, and fourteenth centuries and the ways in which looking and being looked upon influence the development of characters and narratives, especially in relation to gender. I also work on intersections of these medieval topics with pedagogy.
