STITCHING CONNECTIONS

Come for the stitches.  Stay for the conversation.

Bring your needlework-or start something new-and join us for an evening of making, eating, lively conversation and learning more about the GWS program and classes.

Women's crafting circles have long created spaces for mutual aid, political education, storytelling and solidarity. We'll explore how practices often dismissed as "domestic" or decorative can carry sharp social critique, build community
and turn everyday materials into public statements.

Current Conversation: Voting Access in 2026
With Kentucky's general election approaching on Nov. 3 and voter registration closing Oct. 5, we'll discuss current debates about voting access, mail ballots and what civic participation can look like beyond Election Day.
