Danielle Duckett

Danielle Duckett is a doctoral candidate in sociology here at the University of Kentucky. She is currently completing her dissertation on the ways in which breastfeeding decisions affect the identity work performed by new mothers in Appalachia. Most of her previous research has been in the field of domestic violence, where her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals including Violence and Victims, Homicide Studies, and Violence Against Women. She has taught courses in sociology, as well as gender and women's studies, at several colleges and universities in the Bluegrass Region.  She received her Bachelor's Degree from Maryville College, a small liberal arts college in East Tennessee, and her Master's Degree from the University of Kentucky.
