Student Awards and Scholarships
The 2012 Bonnie Jean Cox Graduate Research Award:
Graduate students who have been admitted to the certificate program in Gender and Women’s Studies are invited to submit applications for the Bonnie Jean Cox Graduate Research Award. This award is designed to provide supplemental support related to research that substantively contributes to scholarship in gender and women’s studies. Max of 3 awards of $1,000 each for the 2012-2013 academic year are available. Applications must include a 2 - 3 page research proposal outlining the project, the significance of the topic for scholarship in gender and women’s studies, a timeline and detailed budget. Applications must include a letter of support from the chair of the graduate student’s committee emailed directly to GWS. Applications may be submitted electronically as Word or PDF files to Michelle Del Toro, Administrative Assistant in GWS at firstname.lastname@example.org.
All materials must be received no later than Friday, March 2, 2012, in order to be considered. Recipients will be announced by April 30, 2012. Recipients may use funds beginning May 2012 and are required to submit a report to Michelle Del Toro with a list of expenses (attached receipts and/or explanation) detailing the use of funds no later than April 30, 2013.
